The second season of the Nigerian Idol, a TV reality show which kicked off about six months ago has finally ended as Chinwo Nnenda known as Mercy emerged as the winner.

Mercy defeated Joe Blue, a co- contestant at the Grand Finale of the show held today at Dream Studio, Omole Phase I, Lagos, the 12 finalists were not left out at the grand finale as they rendered the National Anthem which was followed by a performance from Wizkid, W4 and Chuddy K.

The Judges Yinka Davies, Jeffery Daniels and Charly Boy did not hesitate to commend the outstanding and brilliant performances displayed by mercy and Joe Blue throughout the TV reality show.

The winner walked away with amazing top prize of a recording contract, a SUV Jeep and cash prize of one hundred thousand US dollar.
